We were very pleased to be invited to talk on two radio programmes last week.
Firstly we got to talk to the lovely Danny Smith at Radio Verulam on his show West Herts Drivetime about HIV and Stigma in light of the recent coverage about Charlie Sheen revealing his HIV Status.
You can listen again to the show here, from 38 minutes and 22 seconds;
Then on Sunday we were talking on BBC 3 Counties radio on the programme “ShrinkWrapped”with our member Blessing talking again about Late Diagnosis, Stigma, Testing, living with HIV and Charlie Sheen.
You can listen again to the show here, from 30 minutes and 22seconds
More on our Busking Day Fundraiser on 05 December and our mini exhibition of the “Stand Tall Get Snapped Project” for World Aids Day coming up…
Thanks as ever for your support, without your kindness and generosity we couldn’t do what we do!

Please see below for some more photographs taken at our busking day fundraiser last month. Thanks to Andy Brain, http://www.andybrain.co.uk for taking these great pics, and allowing us to share them with you too. The day went really well, despite the weather, and we hope that our next busking event later this year will be as good, if not even better (if that is possible!!) Keep watching this space! Big thanks to Denise Parsons from Trestle Arts Base for organising the event, and also of course to all the hugely talented acts that took part too.
We should also thank again The Boot, St Albans, for providing food and drink on the day and for organising a raffle for us too as well as taking collecting tins. Big thanks to the Meating Room St Albans for providing free mini burgers, also to Lush St Albans for also handing out freebies on the day. Empire Records St Albans also lent a hand advertising the event, and also taking collecting tins for us as well for which we are very grateful.
Not forgetting of course all our amazing volunteers who did such a marvellous job collecting donations from the general public, and also handed out info packs and free condoms to passers by too.
All in all it was a very successful day and we are looking forward to holding another busking day very soon, now that the weather has improved!
Thanks as ever for your continued support,
The Crescent Team
