New Funding for Counselling Services

Hi all,

Apologies for not updating our blog recently, be assured we are busy working in the background to ensure those living or affected by HIV get the support they need.

We are very pleased to announce that we have received generous support from both the Hertfordshire Community Foundation (HCF) and the Make A Difference Trust (MAD) to fund our afternoon and evening counselling services for those living with, affected by, or at risk of acquiring HIV.

The service was officially launched by our Patron, Alex Mayer MEP on Friday in time for World Health Day, a link to the coverage is here http://www.stalbansreview.co.uk/news/16151356.new-hiv-support-group-at-the-crescent-st-albans/

We are now  in our 30th year supporting the community and are thrilled  to have received this support from both MAD and HCF, it will make an immeasurable difference to those accessing services at the Crescent.

There will be more to follow, dates for our next music event, a concert, a street collection and also our regular “Sizzles” with our wonderful friends at “Bunnings” will follow shortly.

Thanks as ever for your support,

The Crescent Team

Vote for the Crescent as you shop!

Hi all,

The Crescent has signed up to my favourite voucher codes!

My Favourite Voucher Codes is a discount code company, who offer online shoppers the chance to save money on high street brands such as Argos and Debenhams. Each month the company donate 20% of their profits to charity; choosing three charities in one area of the UK each month – and the Crescent will be one of three nominated charities for October.

All you need to do to vote is simply visit the My Favourite Voucher Codes homepage and you will find the charity poll on the right hand side (or at the bottom on mobile devices). Voting is completely free and there is no need to sign up – simply click on The Cresent to cast your vote! If you do use any of the vouchers on offer however, then you can help add to the donation, as each voucher used contributes to the final amount.

Either way The Crescent wins, and you don’t need to do anything to vote other than visit My Favourite Voucher Codes to vote for free, so get clicking on that mouse and swiping on your tablet or phone to help the Crescent keep helping others.
