BBC 3CR Interview with Edo Zollo Talking about Stand Tall Get Snapped Project

Yesterday we were delighted to be on the Nick Coffer show on BBC 3 Counties radio talking about HIV and the exhibition of the Stand Tall Get Snapped Project at St Albans Cathedral which opened yesterday for two weeks until 05 December. The exhibition is to mark the start of National HIV Testing Week and of course World Aids Day on 01 December.

Free HIV Home Sampling HIV Testing By Post

Latest news  !! You can now get a free home sampling HIV test kit from the Crescent by post ! Visit the website http://www.thecrescent.org.uk or email testing@thecrescent.org.uk for more information!

With this kit you can take the test at your convenience, post the sample to the laboratory, the Crescent will deliver your results to you between 24 – 48 hours (from receipt of your sample at the lab). If the result indicates that you may have HIV a confirmatory test is necessary at the Watford Sexual Health Centre (or another if you prefer). We will support you throughout the process of course.

If you would like to take the test at our centre in St Albans this can be arranged with appropriate support throughout the process as you require.

This is a free service and completely confidential. If you would like to know more about the service please do feel free to email or call us. You can also pick up a kit from our centre in Russell Avenue St Albans if you wish.

Now there really is an easy way to check your HIV status !

Stand Tall Get Snapped Project Exhibition

Hi all,

The Stand Tall Get Snapped Project is now open at St Albans Cathedral from 10am to 15.45 Monday to Saturday and 13.00 to 17.00 Sundays, more details here https://www.stalbanscathedral.org/whatson/exhibitions/stand-tall-exhibition The exhibition will run from 24Th November to 05 December inclusive.

We will also have a cabin in the Christmas Market for World Aids Day Monday 01 December where you can find out more about The Crescent, pick up condoms, ribbons and home HIV sampling testing kits, plus get a ticket for our WAD2014 raffle with some fab prizes including a 40″ flat screen TV!!

Following the exhibition there will be another busking event which will take place on Saturday 06 December, along with a market stall where you can buy raffle tickets, get more info on the Crescent and our services, plus of course be entertained by some really great local acts. This was a very popular event last time, and again this year there will be food and drink kindly donated by the lovely staff at The Boot Inn, who have also provided the marquee too!
