Thanks to all those who called by our stall at the first Herts Pride last Saturday to find out more about us and HIV in general. We had a very good day and managed to distribute a considerable amount of information and free condoms to those attending.

For all those affected by the, hopefully short term, closure of Herts Aid offices in Watford the Crescent is of course able to provide assistance should you need it as we will be open in Russell Avenue St Albans every day.

Following reports in the local press concerning the number of people living with HIV in the area last week we would like to reiterate that it is our intention to remain open, despite funding cuts by Herts County Council who stopped all our funding in 2011.
We are only able to do so though with the support and generosity of the general public. It is our 25th year supporting those living with HIV (we were founded on the first World Aids Day in 1988) and we intend to remain doing so until such time as a cure is found.

Dear all,
Thanks to the wonderful support of local people we can now offer improved opening hours and more services. Sunday lunch events will now be once a month, complementary therapies wil be provided on the second Friday and last Wednesday of each month.
New opening hours are
New Opening Hours for 2013
Monday 12 to 6 pm
Tuesday 10 am to 5 pm
Wednesday 8.30 am to 1.30 pm (10am to 4pm last Wednesday of each month)
Thursday 10 am to 5 pm
Friday 10 am to 5 pm

Dear all,
Thank you to all who came to our benefit concert Friday evening and made the event such a success. Thanks also to those generous people who made donations even though they couldn’t attend, and to those who have made donations since. Great to have so much support, raise awareness of HIV in the community, and also raise much needed funds for the Crescent.
Again thank you to the local residents and friends who organised and funded the event, also to St Saviours for the wonderful venue. Thanks also to the Hertfordshire Chamber Ensemble for their fantastic performance, and to our Patrons CJ de Mooi and James Wharton for their help with making the evening such a great one. There are more events to follow, please keep watching this space.
